Photos (by others) of Long Island's Coastal Biota and
Ecosystems
Here's a new feature on CRESLI's website, a chance for others to share
photographs of marine mammals, sea turtles and other components of our coastal
ecosystems. You can
e-mail your
images to us for consideration. We ask that you stipulate where and
when the photos were taken and that the organisms were not harassed or otherwise
significantly disturbed in the process of photographing them.
Like too many others, this seal is being strangled by garbage. If you see a ligated seal, please call the NYS Marine Mammal Stranding hot-line 631-369-9829.
